How to screenshot your stash in Tibia
The right way to produce a screenshot the tool can read, and the two mistakes that get an image rejected.
Use the Tibia client's own screenshot, not the Windows Print Screen. The client writes a full-size PNG straight to disk, and native scale is what recognition needs.
The key is not bound by default. Go to Options → Controls → General Hotkeys, find "Misc: Take Screenshot", set a key and click Apply. The binding lives in a hotkey preset, and the preset switches automatically per character — if it stops working, that is usually why.
Where the files land
In %LOCALAPPDATA%\Tibia\packages\Tibia\screenshots. Names follow YYYY-MM-DD_HHMMSSmmm_Character_Reason.png, and the reason for a manual shot is "Hotkey".
The two mistakes that get an image rejected
The first is scale: the stash grid is sliced on a fixed 37-pixel pitch. A resized image does not line up and is rejected with a scale error.
The second is transport. Sending the shot over WhatsApp or Discord as a photo recompresses and shrinks it. Send the original file, or attach it as a document, never as a photo.
Stash bigger than the window
If your stash does not fit in one window, take several screenshots as you scroll and upload them together. The tool stacks the windows and removes repeated rows on its own.
Frequently asked questions
- Can I use the Windows Print Screen?
- You can, as long as the image arrives here without being resized or recompressed. The client screenshot is safer because it writes at native size by construction.
- Why was my screenshot rejected?
- Almost always scale: the image was resized, or went through a messaging app that recompressed it. Send the original PNG.
- Can I upload several screenshots?
- Yes, and it is recommended for a large stash. Rows repeated between shots are detected and counted once.
